Parent's Day and Lady Fatima (SA) Day Print

Essex madressa held its 3rd annual Parents day on 12th June 2010 to Lawford Mead School. The day commenced at 10:30 with all students and their parents seeing various teachers and getting feedback on their performance for the year so far. This day proved to beĀ  success again with parents and Madressa team sharing their thoughts, concerns and ideas.

At 1200, all proceeded to main hall for the function on account of Lady Fatima (SA) day. The function was anchored by Br. Zainali Panjwani. He first invited Year 9 students Ali Raza Zaman and Ali Asghar Zaman, who recited and translated verses from Sura Deher, recalling the nadhr of Lady Fatima (SA) and her household, when they fasted for three days and then gave away their Iftar to needy people. This was followed by presentation from Sakina class students who called out titles and the meanings of Lady Fatima (SA).

Then students from Maryam Class presented a play based on Hadith-e-Kisa when Allah sent Angel Jibra'il to the house of Lady Fatima (SA) to inform them of Allah's intention to keep the people of cloak (panjatan) pure and clean from any dirt.

Qumayl Panjwani (Student year 6) recited his written poetry on Mother's day.

Lady Fatima (SA) poetry contest was won by Students Ammar Abbas, Batul Kapasi, Nayla Panjwani, Hamza Abbas and Zameer Panjwani. Prizes for Eid Milad-un-Nabi Quiz were also distributed among Baqi team led by Hamza Abbas (student class 9).

The programme finished with a beautiful manqabat recited by Fazal Abbas Kapasi (Student year 10) while all students collected roses and presented to their mothers to appreciate their roles with significance in their lives.
Salaat Zuhrain was offered and a wonderful teaching day came to its end.
