Message to Parents
Dear Parents
Madressa will insha-Allah break up for summer holidays after the sports day on 12th July. These have been hectic few months for administration, teachers, parents and students alike and I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart that we as community have achieved so much in such a short span of time.
Islam is a complete religion and therefore 36 mornings (144 hours, in effect 6 full days) cannot achieve every detail of being a good Muslim and eventually humans, an aim we all are trying to work towards. It is therefore essential that all students keep on practicing the teachings from madressa during the other days at home and most importantly during summer holidays.
We are aware of the fact that breaking on 12th July and then meeting again on 11th October at madressa means that we will not have active teaching for 3 months. That is due to Mah-e-Ramadhan falling in September. However, to keep in contact with our religious teachings. Madressa has organized the following programme:
1) RAMADHAN PROGRAMMES: During summer holidays, our teachers will be contacting your child to discuss presentation during the month of Ramadhan at Iftar times at Ali Ridha Centre. Theme surrounding these presentations will be 'QURAN'. Please encourage your child to take part. Respective teachers will be:
Class A – Years 1 and 2 – Sisters Aqila Manji and Farah Sheikh
Class B – Years 3, 4 and 6 – Sisters Shabnam Valji and Farah Sheikh
Class C – Years 7 & 8 – Brothers Sajjad Manji and Zuhair Merali
Class D – Years 9 & 10 – Sisters Saira Haji and Shaista Merali
2) SUMMER HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK / MADRESSA MAGAZINE: All students are advised to write the following papers in summer holidays as homework. The topics must be researched using books, internet, seniors e.g. teachers and parents. The essays should provide the background of topic and current thinking in non-Muslim or non-shia world about the topic, before stating the logical and religious arguments.
