1st Annual Madrasah Majlis

On Saturday, 31st January, 4th Safar 1430 AH, the children of the madressa got together to remember the event of Karbala. They organised and recited on the occasion of the 1st annual madressa majlis. All the madressa students, teachers and some parents and Jamaat members also attended the majlis.
 
Student year 11 Farwa Jeddy opened the proceedings with the recitation of a salaam. She remembered Imam Hussain (AS)'s final farewell to Bibi Zainab (SA). This was followed by a khutba and speech by Student year 8, Hamza Abbas. Hamza declared Surah Al-Hijrat Chapter 49, verse 13, the title of his speech:
 
'Undoubtedly, the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the one who is more obedient to the laws of Allah Almighty. And of course, Allah is all knowing and most knowledgeable'.
 
He explained the concept of equality among the mankind and how we need to be respectful to each other. He related his recited verse to Imam Hussain (AS) and his army and recalled Hazrat Abbas (AS)'s devotion and sacrifice.
 
Students Class 10 Danial Naqvi and Class 8 Rameez Naqvi recited a noha to remember Imam's sacrifice.
 
Student Class 9 Zameer Panjwani finished the proceedings with Ziarat.

It was a great occasion to see children getting together to remember Karbala, an event which instils in young children's hearts love and connectedness to our belief.
